Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop

Welcome to the Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop!  We’ve created some amazing projects that will hopefully inspire you to create your own fabulous projects for a teacher in your life.  You should have arrived here from Sonia at Scraps 4 Fun.  If you just happened to be visiting me today, be sure to go back to Jen’s blog at Jen's Craft Corner, so you don't miss any of the wonderful projects we have to share.

My project is a post-it note holder.  I made 25 of these for the wonderful people that I work with everyday at my school.  This was my first time making them, but it was super easy!

Here are the instructions:
Cut a piece of paper 7 3/8" x 3 1/4".  Score the paper at 3 1/8", 3 1/2", 3 7/8".  Fold the paper on the 3 1/2" line and cut 2 slits to the folds (for the pen).  Put glue between the 3 1/2 and 3 7/8 folds and stick it to the larger section, making sure that the slit part folds the opposite way (for the pen).  Add your own cover decorations (my mat- 3" x 2 7/8", my DP 2 3/4" x 2 5/8 " ) and message inside!

The designer papers are by Custom Crops (polka dots) and Be Mine (diamonds) . Of course, I added some sparkle - green studio G glitter glue.  I also used glossy accents on the white part of the cut to make it look like an actual shine (but you can't really tell from the pictures).  I printed the sentiment on the inside on my computer. I found these pens at the dollar spot at target.  I used ribbon from Jo Ann Fabrics to match the pens.  The apple is cut from Doodlecharms at 1 3/4".
